Learn to Code in Python

My intro to Python. As a classically trained CompSci major (decades ago) and avid gamer, this lesson made the material accessible, relatable, and fun. Achievements and quest driven lessons also motivated me to complete the lesson.

I think you did great by not telling the students the answer but by explaining it to them.

Learn Go

This is just a great course. I already know a good bit of Python, but it is a great way to either learn from scratch or recap important concepts. The structure is logical and clear, with previous concepts being called back to as you progress through the course. This, alongside the regular opportunities for further practice and the quizzes at the end, provide a really seamless and enjoyable experience! Props to all the Boot.dev team!

Software developers in the US earn over $100,000 per year

The following data is taken from the results of the 2025 Stack Overflow survey

Cloud Engineer

$189,000

Backend Developer

$175,000

Site Reliability Engineer

$165,000

DevOps Engineer

$165,000

Data Engineer

$150,000

Frontend Developer

$145,000

Data Analyst

$100,956

Some folks look at the job data and assume that front-end positions are the only option for new learners. On the contrary, there is big demand for backend and data-oriented positions!

If you like working with data, logic, and servers, you might just enjoy the back-end, data-focused curriculum here on Boot.dev. And similar to the frontend, most data and backend positions don't require a specific degree from a university... but you do need to know your stuff!
