So fun thank you. By no means a expert coder, but do have light background from college engineering courses and using VBA to automate basic tasks in Microsoft Office. I learned principles more quickly in a few days of this course than a semester of my engineering programming course (MATLAB)

Great course. I did some python programming in the past and wanted to refresh my knowledge to feel more comfortable with private AI projects. This course has surpassed my wishes.

Learn to Code in Python

An excellent introduction to Python! The gamified approach kept me highly motivated, and the hands-on practice made complex concepts easy to grasp. Highly recommend for anyone looking to start their coding journey.

Learn to Code in Python

Came in with no formal programming background and finished this course with a working grasp of variables, control flow, functions, and error handling. The format [ short lessons paired with real coding exercises ]beats the passive video model most platforms default to. The gamification (XP, levels, streaks) sounds like marketing fluff but ends up being a useful reinforcement loop. Strong choice for anyone serious about building real skills, not just collecting certificates.

This was probably one of the easiest courses I've ever taken, if I was able to learn the basics of Python I'm sure anyone can.

Software developers in the US earn over $100,000 per year

The following data is taken from the results of the 2025 Stack Overflow survey

Cloud Engineer

$189,000

Backend Developer

$175,000

Site Reliability Engineer

$165,000

DevOps Engineer

$165,000

Data Engineer

$150,000

Frontend Developer

$145,000

Data Analyst

$100,956

Some folks look at the job data and assume that front-end positions are the only option for new learners. On the contrary, there is big demand for backend and data-oriented positions!

If you like working with data, logic, and servers, you might just enjoy the back-end, data-focused curriculum here on Boot.dev. And similar to the frontend, most data and backend positions don't require a specific degree from a university... but you do need to know your stuff!
